Metroland
The month-long small press show @ UAG has come to a close. Many thanks to the gallery, and many thanks to all the presses, performers, listeners, and purchasers!
In this week's Metroland, Josh Potter profiles Albany's small press scene, using our January events as brackets, and it's replete w/ comment from the editors. Check it out!
And here are some photos from the event on Saturday, January 17th, taken by Pierre Joris.

Oh so very much
Let me draw y'r attention to two publications of note and of interest:
Torpedo 4 & Open Letters (Jan. 2009)----
Torpedo, from Melbourne, Australia, has this to say about itself:
"Commemorating the 25th anniversary of his untimely death, Volume 4 is a tribute issue to Richard Brautigan. Fiction from 40 writers, a nifty envelope containing 8 full colour double-sided pieces of art based on Brautigan's novels, an intro by Brautigan's daughter Ianthe, an outro by Radiohead illustrator Stanley Donwood and a cover by L.A.'s Kristian Olson."
the Jan. Open Letters is devoted to poetry, and there are a few essays of note, but I also want to point out that there's some terrific original art in this issue, especially the charcoal of Jack Spicer----
(+ there's poetry, too, in abundance, including translation by friends of flim Elisa Gabbert & Kathleen Rooney...)
